Position of Czech Republic

It has border with Poland in north, Germany in west, Austria in south, Slovakia in east. The country is divided into 3 parts: Bohemia (Čechy), Moravia (Morava), Silesia (Slezsko). There are differences between these regions in dialects and folk traditions. It has an area of 78,866 square kilometres .

In 2015, we lived in the Czech Republic according to the Czech Statistical Office 10,553,843 people. Population increases in the long term, although the death rate exceeds the birth rate - the cause of migration, especially from Ukraine and Slovakia. Migration to the Czech Republic also exceeds the number leaving the country.
Capital city is Prague, where live about 1 million people. State system is a parliamentary republic. The official currency is the Czech crown, which is 1 euro = 27 crounds. Time zone is UTC +1 hour.
In 1993 Czechoslovakia split in two republics - the Czech Republic and the Slovak republic, with its own administration, economy and state symbols. From 1.1. 1993 it is independent republic with President Václav Havel, who was also writer and communism dissident. Present president is Miloš Zeman.
Religion

The Czech Republic has one of the least religious populations in the world, being the country with the third most atheistic population by percentage, behind only China and Japan. According to the 2011 census, 34% of the population stated they had no religion, 10.3% was Roman Catholic, 0.8% was Protestant, and 9% followed other forms of religion both denominational or not. 45% of the population did not answer the question about religion.

Coat of arms
Coat of arms has 4 parts, Each of them represents one part of Czech republic. In the first and the fourth represented Bohemia - two-tailed silver lion with a golden crown on a red field. In the second, represented Moravia - eagle silver-red checkered with a golden crown on a blue field. In the third field is the emblem of Silesia - a black eagle with a golden crown and red arms on a gold background. The author is George Louda. We can find it in buildings occupied by state authorities, government agencies, etc.
Our unofficial symbol is motto: Love and truth
will always prevail over lies and hatred. This sentence said the former Czech
president Vaclav Havel at the time of the Velvet Revolution against communist
regime in Czechoslovakia. And from this time it started to be our national
motto.
